![]() They sounded so scared and angry, I just knew it had to do with those Martian monsters. I’d never heard anything like it before and I don’t know if I would ever want to. As we made our way to the facility, I swear that all you could hear were dogs barking. Father has been so occupied with what wonders the scientists have been busy unlocking, he has barely had the time to meet mother and the rest of us for lunch and dinner as of late. The Field Marshall suggested that father might be with the scientists and honestly, I am ashamed that I hadn’t thought of that myself sooner. I cannot thank father enough for allowing me the opportunity. Oh, diary, I still cannot believe that I have been lucky enough to learn from Field Marshal Mackensen! I have truly learned so much under his guidance. As it happened, on my way to see father, I met with Field Marshal Mackensen and he was kind enough to invite me along with him. Afterwards, I had gone to find father, although I cannot recall the reason why I so urgently needed to speak to him, even though it had only been a few hours ago now. My day had started off as any other does, with my lessons in the morning and having lunch with mother in the sitting room. It was almost like a dream, but I know it was so terribly real. I can only hope that by writing it down, it will make more sense to me.
